My desire to make movies began like most others - in middle school with a camera, my best friend, and a backyard. It’s not a total coincidence as I come from a long line of Hollywood history, even some Oscars winners in the mix. Four generations later and we Schulbergs still can’t shake this business. My father, a screenwriter turned architect, urged me to ‘do something practical’ in this industry. 

I took his advice and taught myself to edit. That landed me my first job out of college at Netflix. Four promotions and seven years, I left a creative producer position there to do the very impractical thing — follow my dreams and tell my own stories.

When it comes to stories, I want to tell ones that mix heart, humor and a sprinkle of magic . I am a people watcher (some might say eavesdropper) and I bring all those honest words and moments to the page.
